THE ONE THING GOD WOULD LIKE TO KNOW TODAY.

In Jeremiah 32:27 we read, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?”

THE ONE THING GOD WOULD LIKE TO KNOW TODAY. I’m sure that statement has your attention right away. Most of you are thinking, “Pastor, I’m confused. I thought God knew everything. The Bible says He knows our thoughts; He knows the number of hairs on our head; He knows our needs before we ask Him; He knew me while I was in my mother’s womb; and, He even knew I’d be born before I was ever conceived. What do you mean, ‘The one thing God would like to know today?’ He knows everything!” I agree! The Bible teaches that God is omniscient…all-knowing. But look at our verse again: “Is there anything too hard for me?” This question is not asked ABOUT God? It’s not asked to God? It is asked BY God. He is asking Jeremiah and each of us today: “Is there anything too hard for me?” To put it another way...He was asking then and now… “Is there anything going on in your life that I can’t help you with? Have you forgotten Who I am? I am the God of all flesh!” You see, God is not seeking information here…He’s asking a question, but He’s wanting you and me to answering it for our sake, not His. So, the one thing God would like to know from you is this: IS THERE ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR ME? A Sunday School teacher, after teaching about the greatness of God, asked her children… “Now, class, is there anything God can’t do?” Little Sammy lifted his hand and she couldn’t believe it. “Okay, Sammy, just what is it you think God cannot do?” He said, “Well, He can’t seem to please everybody!”😁 Now, the great prophet, Jeremiah, obviously knew the answer to God’s question. He just simply needed reminding, and so do we. And because there’s nothing too hard for Him, He wants to, personally, remind you today of FOUR TRUTHS ABOUT HIM YOU SHOULD NEVER FORGET...He’s says to you today...

1. There’s no PROMISE I’ve given I will not KEEP. There are 1’000’s of promises throughout the Bible the Lord gives to each of us. For every need you have, there is a promise from God to meet that need. Numbers 2:19 says, “God is not man that He should lie… Has the Lord said and shall He not do it? Or, Hath He spoken and shall He not do it?” Philippians 4:19 says, “But my God shall supply ALL your need…” Either we’re ignorant of His promises or we doubt He will do what He says! Stop sitting on the premises and start STANDING ON THE PROMISES He’s given in His Word! Are you drowning in your troubles today while God has already thrown out the life line of His promise to help you? (see Jeremiah 33:3).

2. There is no PRAYER you can pray that I will not ANSWER. Matthew 21:22 says, “All things whatsoever you shall ask in prayer believing, you shall receive.” Prayer can do anything God can do because God can do anything! Why is it we don’t take our requests to God in prayer? I believe the #1 reason is most think they have too little faith. But Jesus said, “If you have faith of a mustard seed” you can move a “...mountain” of difficulty (Mat. 17:20). He’s saying...It’s not how much faith you have. It’s how big your God is!

3. There is no PROBLEM too difficult for me to SOLVE. I’ve been meeting weekly with a couple who faced mountainous marital problems. A few weeks ago both of them came at separate times and nailed a prayer to the cross we put up out in front of our church. It’s taken some time, but they’re back together and God is healing their marriage!  I’m meeting with them every Wednesday! PTL! God is able IF we’d only ask!

4. There is no PERSON who’s failed me that I will not FORGIVE. “If we confess our sins (any sin & many sins), HE IS FAITHFUL to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (I John 1:9). Notice that forgiveness is promised for “sins” period…not just those that we think are ‘worse’ than others. Stop condemning yourself and confess (admit) to the Lord you’ve failed and you’ll find His forgiveness! Always remember there is nothing too hard for God! The only time God had a hard time was when He looked down and saw His Son hanging in agony and blood on the cross! But He did it for you and me that we might trust Him to meet our every need. THE ONE THING HE WANTS TO KNOW is will you trust Him today? Think it over…🙏
